Boys

They are wild and curious; crazy and loud but if you are patient they will they show you their softer, sweeter side.

"Boys are just different" I have been told time and time again. Girls don't throw dirt, girls don't race in circles around the house, girls don't scream just for the fun of it. Boys are different. But just when I need it most he comes and gives me a hug and a kiss without me asking, tells me "thank you mom" for the simplest things I do for him. Yesterday we were playing outside and Chloë was stuck on the steps saying "help me, help me" and being the good big brother that he is Ethan helped. Different is good.

Our Easter

We had such a fun easter this year, the kids are at a really fun age for all the fun Easter activities. We only took about 150 pictures that day alone so it's taken me a while to sort through and pick just a few to share! Enjoy!
Opening their easter baskets... they got lots of dinosaurs!

Easter Egg hunt at Nana and Papa's house, they were searching for the -very few- with candy in them!

Aunt Cece!

Ending the day with some horsey rides!

Hopefully Spring springs soon!

With the first day of spring just one week away I, like everyone else, am ready to see flowers budding, grass turning green, and my little girl in her pretty sun dresses. That definatly not what we got today...
I headed outside to shovel the snow off the driveway so Travis could make it in okay. What I got once I was out there was about 5 inches of snow over 1 inch of slush, it was heavy to say the least.
I heard the sound of a snow blower running and scanned across the street where I spotted my neighbor blowing the 6 inches of snow slush mix off his driveway and sidewalk, it was taunting me. I kept on shoveling slipping and sliding the whole way down the drive way all the while listening to the grumble of the snow blower.
I finally reached the end where I was met with ice/slush/water; I found out it was water once my not so practical "winter" boot went from just cold to wet and cold. Now I was determined to hurry! My hands were shaking and my legs were becoming more and more unstable but at last it was over, I turned around to admire my accomplishment...
Just to see a fresh new layer of white powder covering the wet grey cement I had just worked so hard to expose and then no more grumble, just silence as the snow fell.

Doesn't he look handsome?!?!

Before....

Getting ready...
CUT!
Wash off all the hair...
And he looks like a whole new boy!

There is definatly no mistake about him being a boy now! Ethan's hair finally reached 10 inches (the amount need to donate to locks of love) so it will be sent off later this week! It was sad to cut off all that gorgeous hair but it was always getting in his way and he hated having it brushed (I hated brushing it too). So when Ethan came home from school today with his hair pulled back in a pony tail I figured it must be getting in the way of projects and activities at school. It was finally time to say good bye to those thick blonde lockes. I think he looks 5 now instead of 3, it will take some getting used to, but hey less than a year from now he will have another 10 inches grown out anyway!
P.S. He didn't even cry or complain once!
